In 1972, the military court sent a crack commando unit of 4 Vietnam War veterans to prison for a crime for which they were framed. They were ordered by their superior officers to rob the Bank of Hanoi. When things went wrong their superiors abandoned them. Then these men escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground.

Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune for oppressed people or those wronged by someone. They call themselves the A-Team who manage to "right the wrongs" while staying one step ahead of the law.
