The hype the X-men Trilogy created definitely was still in the hearts of the fans worldwide. And wolverine was, I think, the most loved character in the series. This was the movie where Hugh Jackman became a huge hit. It was probably a role intended for him, or the character might have rubbed its machismo on him. Either way, Wolverine and Jackman were destined to top the movie charts.
Xmen Origins: Wolverine started its official showing last May 1, 2009 (however, unofficial copies of the unfinished film were already been distributed worldwide way before it release). In the movie, Logan (Wolverine) was born a mutant but the blades that came out of his knuckles were not yet made of adamantium. He and his elder brother Victor Creed (who was later called as Sabertooth) fought together in wars, era after era. Later on, they became members of a ruthless group of treasure hunters led by Wade Wilson (Deadpool). Logan broke out of the group only to be hunted down years after by none other than, Creed. He accepted a government-funded project (Weapon X) where adamantium was injected into his body, making him more formidable. But he found out that he was only used as part of a sinister plan to create a more powerful mutant who required the genetic samples from other mutants. Professor Xavier was featured at the end of the movie, rescuing the captured mutants that were used in the government experiment...
