This 1984 film is the first Ghostbusters made for the movies. Co-written and co-starred by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis, it was about 3 eccentric parapsychologists (the 3rd was Bill Murray) who became ghost exterminators. They put up a ghostbusting business and became recognized when they captured they first ghost from a haunted hotel. This was when they hired their 4th member (Ernie Hudson).

Their biggest mission here was when they investigated the possession of Dana by the demonic Zuul and her neighbor Louis by a similar demon calledVinz Clortho. Later on they learned that when the Gatekeeper Zuul and the Keymaster Vinz embrace, they would summon a greater evil named Gozer to bring about the destruction of the world. The team decided to merge the energy streams of their proton packs and aim it at the dimensional portal where Gozer came through. In the end, the Ghostbusters won and were met by an applauding crowd.
